Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you wish to buy Rescue Plants (saguaro, ocotillo, barrel, hedgehog, mammilaria, etc.) you take a number when you enter through the gate. This number determines the order in which you will be called to shop for Rescue Plants.
Usually there are other vendors or specialty plants that do not need a number for shopping. You can purchase those items from the vendors while waiting to shop for Rescue plants.
-
You must select plants with assistance from a personal shopper. This keeps the cactus holding area safe and reduces the possibility of bumping into or tripping over cacti. It also allows you to ask questions as you choose plants.
When choosing a plant, it is placed in a holding spot with a number. Since others are waiting to shop, after you pay, we ask that you immediately pick up your plants with help from the “loaders” (volunteers who load the plants) who are on hand.
-
Gloves, t-shirts, books, slings, and TCSS Memberships are available for purchase at checkout.
Our sales are determined by what we rescue and sometimes we have non-cactus plants, pots and other plant material.
-
After choosing your rescue plants, you will be asked to check out and pay for your plants immediately. After you have paid, you then will need to drive your vehicle to the pickup area and volunteers will be on hand to load plants into your vehicle.
TCSS accepts cash, checks, or credit cards.
Pay vendors independently from TCSS.
