Sonoran Xeriscape

 The mission of this program is to promote water conservation through teaching the concepts of Sonoran Xeriscape.

The TCSS Sonoran Xeriscape Program is an educational outreach initiative designed to promote sustainable, low-water-use landscaping practices tailored to the unique conditions of the Sonoran Desert.

  • • Local HOAs
    • High school cactus and succulent study groups or clubs
    • TCSS members
    • Interested members of the Tucson-area community

  • • A seminar series providing ongoing training on Sonoran-specific xeriscape techniques
    • Hands-on landscaping projects that apply the principles taught in the seminars
    • Support for plant sourcing, including access to native plants from the TCSS Native Plant Rescue Program and the Member Propagation Training Program Participants gain practical knowledge and resources to create resilient, water-efficient landscapes while contributing to the preservation and appreciation of the region’s native plant life.
